O nas / About us

Slovenian:

Oskrbovana bo z lastno proizvodnjo toplote (solarni paneli), elektrike (fotovoltaika) in zbiranjem vode (deževnica).

Self-sufficient living cell project is initiated by prof. Medved at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana, who is also a professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Faculty for Health. He is coordinator of IEE project IDES-EDU as well. Coordinators of the project are also Igor Seljak and assis. prof. Ciril Arkar. They invited students of Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to participate at the project as part of education proces and IDES-EDU Workpackage 4. Later students from Faculy for Health will join the project to analize indoor comfort and microbiotic conditions of indoor air and waste water.

Goal of the project is to stimulate the students througt multidisciplinary student’s work to develope, plan, co-build and monitor self-sufficient living cell. Cell is constructed as living unit for students and will be use as lab for next two years. Cell will be supplied by own produced solar heat and electricity and with tap rain water. Waste will be treated compleatly by composting and plant type water treatement unit. The cell will be placed in the center of Ljubljana  (Slovenia), which will be open  for the general public.
